ABOUT APPCRC 2025

SingHealth Polyclinics, the Singapore Health Technologies Consortium (HealthTEC.SG) and SingHealth Duke-NUS Family Medicine Academic Clinical Programme (FM ACP) will be the co-hosts of the 10th edition of the Asia Pacific Primary Care Research Conference (APPCRC) 2025 to be held at the Academia, SGH Campus from 19 to 21 June 2025. The theme focuses on "Advancing Health through Innovations and AI".

The pre-conference programme will cover the Research Championship and workshops to induct participants on the design and application of innovations and artificial intelligence in primary care practices and healthcare settings.

The Research Championship, which aims to nurture budding primary care professionals in research, is one of the highlights of the conference. It is a platform for intensive investigator-centric coaching of teams of novice researchers to define and refine their research questions, and to design the study protocol based on the appropriate research methodology. The coaches are experienced Family Medicine researchers from established universities in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. The participants will go through two rounds of competitions to reach the finals, in which the audience will also get to vote for the team to win the prestigious Championship Trophy.

Conference participants will showcase the results of their research projects via oral and poster presentations. They will have the opportunities to listen to distinguished plenary speakers who will update audience on telehealth, AI, innovations and their impact on primary healthcare system and policies. They can also attend mini-symposiums and workshops throughout the conference.

A world café will be organized to bring conference delegates to a showroom in which Health Technology startups will display and demonstrate the application of their innovative products and AI-enabled solutions to address clinical and healthcare system gaps in primary care. The café will open the door for delegates to network and forge collaboration with the Health Technology industry to advance the health of their patients and their families in the community.

The APPCRC will be the signature conference in 2025 to strengthen the primary care academic fraternity across the three local clusters of polyclinics, GPs, the College of Family Physicians Singapore, and family medicine specialists across the Asia Pacific region.
